Welcome Parents, Grandparents, Alumni, and Friends!

At Helios School, we are committed to providing a challenging education that goes beyond traditional classroom settings. Like all independent schools, we rely on two primary sources of revenue: tuition and philanthropic contributions. While tuition covers the basics, your generosity through the Helios Fund provides the resources that make Helios truly exceptional. Our unique approach focuses on the potential of our gifted students, nurturing their intellectual curiosity and creative spirit. Your support will directly impact the lives of our students and help us maintain our position as the  leading institution for gifted education in the Bay Area.

Thriving Curriculum: We continuously refine our themes, ensuring our investigations evolve to remain relevant to our unique student body and offer the high-level discussions that our students relish. The combination of art, science, and culture that our Jays and Ravens are exploring this fall in their study of Carnivals is a delight to watch!

Vibrant Learning Spaces: We push our students to do high-quality work, and they deserve to do that work in bright spaces designed for their age group, whether they are Hummingbirds or Herons. We want to continue our steady renovation of our beautiful campus, putting resources into the classrooms and outdoor spaces, like the Wilderness Village and Garden. Your contribution keeps our classroom and outdoor classroom environments thriving as spaces where curiosity and exploration come alive.

Innovative Fieldwork: Hands-on learning that immerses students in real-world environments allows gifted children an even deeper understanding of the themes they are studying. The Condors and Ospreys have an ongoing partnership with Grassroots Ecology, focusing on native species habitat restoration, which ties directly into their work. They don’t study scientists—they are scientists. This sort of fieldwork fosters a deep understanding of the world around us and inspires students to become the active, engaged citizens our to which our school’s vision speaks.

Empowered and Informed Educators: Your generosity allows us to invest in ongoing professional development for our teachers. This ensures they have the knowledge and skills to challenge and support our gifted students academically, socially, and emotionally. That support is one of  the things that attracts teachers to our school and is an important tool for retention.

By giving to the Helios Fund, you're not just supporting a school; you're investing in the future – the bright future of our exceptional students.

It's really hard to describe what my favorite thing was at Helios. The math classes, the Wilderness Village, the camping. - It's practically everything! ...It was easy to make friends at Helios because there were more people interested in the same things.
