High School Counseling

The high school search process at Helios is a family journey of growth, discovery, and excitement.

Families begin the high school transition journey in fifth and sixth grade, with the opportunity to attend alumni nights and have informal conversations with our in-house high-school counselor about their priorities after Helios. Beginning in the spring of seventh grade, each family works one-on-one with our counselor to chart a path after Helios.

The counselor and the middle school faculty provide support throughout eighth grade via a specific high school transition course, visits from admissions directors and Helios alumni, essay and application feedback, and individualized recommendations.

We take great pride that our 71 graduates have chosen to attend 41 unique high schools, reflecting pathways that are as unique and individualized as our K-8 program.
